With Father's Day fast approaching, I wanted to share some of Eric's favorites. Beyond his family, his favorite things include golfing and collecting kitchen gadgets. I wish I was kidding about the gadgets. He loves to cook which is amazing, but with that comes an additional hobby of purchasing all the things cooking related. Hence our XL pantry we squeezed into our space. Here are a few of dad's items our family loves (or not), linked below (going beyond the insta-pot and air fryer).

- Egg maker. We mostly use this for quick hard boiled eggs. It cooks them as fast as a pressure cooker and the eggs peel the very best. Some type of sorcery with poking a tiny hole in the shell.
- Pasta maker. I'm not sure if this has ever been used. Maybe once. Not worth it, IMO.
- Popcorn machine. The kids love this and it beats microwave popcorn on movie nights.
- Electric griddle. Pancakes for all. The end.
- Hot dog roller. We have a lot of kids. And a lot of parties. Nothing classes up a gathering like a Quick Trip style hotdog that's been rolling on hot rollers for a few hours.
- Induction cooktop. Speedy heating. Not hot to the touch...more sorcery. We mostly use this when cooking outside on the bar top.
- Pizza spinner. It's a counter top, rotating pizza oven. It's an ESSENTIAL if you have teenagers and don't eat to turn on the oven everyday. Works for any frozen foods, i.e. pizza (including cauliflower crust), pizza rolls, mozzarella sticks, chicken nuggets, etc. Although I prefer the air fryer for many of these things...cooking a frozen pizza with this can not be beat!
- Ice cream maker. Enough said.
- Herb garden. This has always been a fun project for dad and kids.
- Electric deep fryer. Deep fried turkey on Thanksgiving. Money. Yes we only use it once a year.
- Sous vide. Cooks anything, usually meat, by circulating warm water. Perfect filets. Every. Time. See 12 and 13.
- Sous vide container. This is the sin that sets on the counter and hold the water.
- Vacuum sealer. Sous vide food are best cooked when vacuum sealed with seasonings inside. Pretty sure we've also used ziplock bags though.
- Bamboo utensils. Not technically a gadget, but I love these utensils for their high quality and fun colors!
- Water dispenser. We live in Arizona. Sunscreen is important. And so is water.
- Espresso machine. It's pricey, but worth every penny if you and your partner are coffee drinkers. Every trip to a coffee shop ends up costing our family at least $25, if not more. The teens love to make iced coffees at home now and the littles love the hot milk foam it makes.
Let me know if you have any questions about any of the gadgets or which ones are your favorite if you have them!
