During our first full week of summer, we road tripped to California for a couple days at Disneyland to celebrate our baby James for his 5th birthday.
Here is our 6 day itinerary:
Day 1-
We drove from Scottsdale to Anaheim (lots of potty stops), checking into the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground.

This was our second time staying here, and this visit far exceeded the first. We were able to book adjoining rooms to fit our family of 7. During check-in, we picked up our double stroller rented through the Traveling Baby Company. It was super convenient having the stroller dropped at our hotel. We could've used Disney stroller rental at the parks however, we were most concerned about walking back to the hotel late at night with tired children. We no longer own our own stroller with our youngest being almost 5....but Disney is different.

We had dinner reservations Monday night at Goofy's Kitchen located inside the Disneyland Hotel.

Day 2 -
Disneyland! First we mobile ordered bagels and coffee from Panera to pick up on the way to the park...it's right along the 0.5 mile walk from the hotel. This day happened to be in the park for Splash Mountain's very last day. That being said, we did not ride it because the line was insane! We hit all our other favorites, including my new favorite ride...Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway!!!

Day 3 -
Hotel day. Breakfast first at Mimi's Cafe, right next door. It was a little chilly, but thankfully the pool's splash pad and pool are heated! That evening, we returned to Downtown Disney to have dinner at Splitsville, topping off the night with ice cream from Salt and Straw.

Day 4 -
James's 5th birthday!!! Today was spent at Disney's California Adventure park. The highlight of the day was James being tall enough to ride The Indcredicoaster!

Day 5 -
We dropped the stroller at the front desk for pick up, then headed to the Balboa Island Ferry and Newport Beach.

Day 6 -
We left the hotel by 8AM, stopping at Mimosa's for breakfast. So good! Home by 3PM...with only ONE potty stop!
